Save the file and restart Grok.

Ask for something build_map does. Grok lists the server's tools on connect and calls build_map itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that ShowMeOnMap's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.
Grok Build reads Claude Code's .mcp.json and Claude Desktop's config unchanged, so a server you have already set up there needs nothing new. The Grok web app and X integration do not take custom servers. Grok docs

ShowMeOnMap will not start until these are set, so build_map never becomes available.
