Open ~/.config/zed/settings.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Zed.

Ask for something convert_document does. Zed lists the server's tools on connect and calls convert_document itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that Carbone MCP's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

Set these first
Carbone MCP will not start until these are set, so convert_document never becomes available.
