Open .vscode/mcp.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart VS Code.

Ask for something add_to_allowlist does. VS Code lists the server's tools on connect and calls add_to_allowlist itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that Unphurl's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

Unphurl will not start until these are set, so add_to_allowlist never becomes available.
