Open ~/.config/zed/settings.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Zed.

Ask for something broadcast__system_info does. Zed lists the server's tools on connect and calls broadcast__system_info itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that mcp's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

Set these first
mcp will not start until these are set, so broadcast__system_info never becomes available.
