Save the file and restart Claude Desktop.

Ask for something nps_get_park does. Claude Desktop lists the server's tools on connect and calls nps_get_park itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that national parks mcp server's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.
