Open ~/.gemini/settings.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Gemini CLI.

Ask for something wikidata_sparql_query does. Gemini CLI lists the server's tools on connect and calls wikidata_sparql_query itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that wikidata mcp server's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

wikidata mcp server will not start until these are set, so wikidata_sparql_query never becomes available.
