Open ~/.config/zed/settings.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Zed.

Ask for something diagnose_proxy_error does. Zed lists the server's tools on connect and calls diagnose_proxy_error itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that ipvolt Proxy Toolkit's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

Set these first
ipvolt Proxy Toolkit will not start until these are set, so diagnose_proxy_error never becomes available.
