Open ~/.gemini/settings.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Gemini CLI.

Ask for something convert_timezone does. Gemini CLI lists the server's tools on connect and calls convert_timezone itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that temporal mcp server's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

temporal mcp server will not start until these are set, so convert_timezone never becomes available.
