Open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Windsurf.

Ask for something currencies_list does. Windsurf lists the server's tools on connect and calls currencies_list itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that exchange rates's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

Set these first
exchange rates will not start until these are set, so currencies_list never becomes available.
