Open ~/.config/zed/settings.json and merge this in. Keep any servers already there.

Save the file and restart Zed.

Ask for something pdf_pages does. Zed lists the server's tools on connect and calls pdf_pages itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that split pdf's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.

Set these first
split pdf will not start until these are set, so pdf_pages never becomes available.
