Ask for something notifyre_create_contact does. Gemini CLI lists the server's tools on connect and calls notifyre_create_contact itself — you do not invoke it by name.

If nothing happens, check the server is running and that Notifyre MCP by usefulapi's identifier in your config matches the one above exactly.
